So, over the weekend I went to Artsmart, organised by the University of the Arts. There were lots of stalls set up which, supplied a range of fine art, design, fashion and crafts.

AA PROJECTS REVIEW 2011

I went to see the Architectural Association School of Architecture exhibition.

"Projects Review offers an overview of the AA's 2010/11 academic year. On display are hundreds of drawings, models, installations, photographs and other materials documenting the world's most international and experimental school of architecture. At the AA, architecture is pursued as a form of cultural knowledge, across year-long design projects and portfolios..." - Brett Steel Director, AA School

V&A Logo

"This sign needed to be readable from both sides and we noticed that there was an interesting symmetry in the logo that allowed us to reverse it"
-Sebastian Noel

I had to take photos of this amazing rotating logo, located at the underground entrance to the V&A Museum! I recommend checking it out. If not, then at least check out the video!

One Thousand Cranes

"In a shattering moment the world stops."

Donate, download, print and fold an origami crane in support of Japan. http://www.onethousandcranesforjapan.com/

"Japanese tradition teaches that a wish will be granted after one thousand origami cranes are folded. This ritual has helped many Japanese to recover from sickness and grief. The ONE THOUSAND CRANES project seeks to draw on this ancient healing and show that the emotional blow received can be returned through the strength of solidarity and human compassion"

After my 5th attempt... here are photos of my origami crane.

The Art of Make-Up

Yesterday, I went along with my friend to get a makeover done at Mac Cosmetics. It made me realise the way we put on make-up can be a form of art. I love looking at all the different colours available. My friend was a model for the day!
